Por meio de seu perfil no Twitter, o cineasta Zack Snyder revelou que o prequel de Army of the Dead ganhou o seu diretor e elenco.
Nathalie Emmanuel, Stuart Martin, Matthias Schweighöfer, Guz Khan, Ruby O´Fee, Jonathan Cohen, Noémi Nakai e Peter Simonischek são os nomes que compõe o cast do longa-metragem. Schweighöfer, que também irá atuar e está em Army of the Dead, será o responsável pela direção.
As gravações serão incitadas nessa semana na Alemanha e Praga (República Tcheca).

Na trama, um homem reúne um grupo de mercenários para fazerem suas últimas apostas após um surto zumbi se iniciar em Las Vegas. Com isso, os personagens irão se aventurar numa zona de quarentena ao mesmo tempo que realizam o último grande roubo da história. Diz a sinopse de Army of the Dead.
